In a first for Todd McFarlane Entertainment, computer
graphics and traditional animation come together to create the minute and a
half long spooky short to open McFarlane's Evil Prophecy video game. The
short movie was first shown on May 14, 2003, in Konami's booth at E3, --and
will be viewable here soon.
The movie opens in the creepy chambers of Dracula and takes you on a short
journey of the horrific world of McFarlane's Monsters. It cuts back and forth
between scenes of the monsters: Dracula, Werewolf, Voodoo Queen, Sea Creature
and Mummy and their hunters: Doc, Chic, Pirate and Shaman; enticing you to take
control and try your luck at conquering the game.
The idea for an animated opening for the video game was first thrown around
between Terry Fitzgerald and Mitch Ueno from Konami while the two were working
on Spawn
for Color Game Boy. The idea was made a reality this year. Directed by Todd
McFarlane and Graham Morris and produced by Terry Fitzgerald, with initial
sketches by Greg Capullo.
